the game is going between 85K-150K players, obviously it's nothing to the numbers around the time of malevelon kreek (200K-300K) but the game has been pretty content dry, balancing has been getting frustrating and a lot of crash and server issues has detered players away.

Keeping politics and ideology out of games is necessary. focus on making games fun and great. Also, balancing guy needs to STOP balancing this game like its PvP, the game is a horde shooter game pretty much. if your going to claim that an AR is high caliber but only give it light armor pen, just scrap the whole AR in general. I love the game, thats why i"m irritated. I want to see this game blow others out of the water, but the devs are shooting themselves in the foot right now.

Releasing recolors as new armor instead of just giving us the ability to choose the color ourselves is incredibly insulting.

I’m not hopping on as often these days. The game has grown kinda stale for me and with the issues with balancing and glitches it’s enough friction to push me to other entertainment.

The nerfs HAVE to stop in excessive amounts, Sony needs to reinstate countries and they may have lost many players for good, we need more content! I understand it takes time but they were hitting us with content and updates and it basically stopped. May need more employees but it’s definitely not dead but they need something big to make a comeback and that’s a fact!

I don't think the game is dead at all. People have already moved on from the Sony controversy and the fact that AH managed to get Sony to unblock 3 or 5 countries is a win for the Helldivers community. As of watching this video there are currently 95,000 players online and 50,000 are PC. There are games that can only dream of reaching those numbers. I don't think Helldivers is dead or is going to die.

There’s 3 core reasons for player decline. 1. Everyone’s done all they can do in the game as far as unlockables. They don’t have anymore things to do and have left . 2. The game is still banned in 180 nations. 3. The games been out awhile and people get bored in general. It does happen. It’s very possible some or most of these people come back but more than likely we’ll see a bump if the game is re-instated world wide, and that’ll be that. Now if Sony wants to reverse this trend they need to capitalize on whatever hype is left and release the game on Xbox. Doing that will see a SHARP increase in player count for at least the next several months.

If they fix the balancing and quit nerfing things. And just make the game fun again and let us do what we want people will be playing

It can achieve 200k. If they stop nerfing weapons. Stop with the negative modifiers, unblocking regions that is locked. Work more on fixes. More interesting warbonds,weapons and armour. Introduce vehicles. Get rid of woke Baskinator. Dont care at all if females and all races even gay and trans people are part of the team. stop pushing your(Baskinator) idealogies and views onto people. Keep it for yourself

Final Thoughts: Helldivers 2 losing players for various reasons, either burnt out, waiting for content, upset about nerf and waiting for patch, and psn regions (some have access still). The whole situation sucks but overall as mentioned in the video I believe the next patch will bring back some of the player base just not the whole whopping 200k unless there was some major update. I love the game and hope to see it thrive. Some have mentioned it's dead but what do you think? Devs are updating the game and it's going well beside nerfs.

The game is losing players because of how bad the balance is being handled. I'm sorry but i have no fun if all the guns i use, are peashooters. I need to waste 2 mags of an AR(BR-14 Adjudicator or the Liberator Pen) into a commander bug. Keep in mind, these ARs have Medium penetration, so they can penetrate the frontal armor of the bug. Meanwhile, a few shots from the senator pistol, destroys the bug. You can understand how badly they handle the balance. Let`s not bring into discussion how the Polar Warbond trailer shows the Purifier energy charge-up rifle ending a Strider with its AOE blast of the shot, however ingame, it is unable to do it frontally, as advertised by their trailer.

If Baconator if is only interested in games about women, she should work somewhere else. Spitz/Swallows can stay fired.
